Collections of images from several New Zealand galleries and libraries.
- War Art Online
Paintings and sketches of New Zealand's involvement in WWI and WWII from the collections in Archives New Zealand.
- LIFE Magazine photo archive
Millions of high quality (for the era!) photos & drawings from the magazine from the 1860's onwards - everything from daily life to warfare...and lots of photos from WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Iraq - every war the US was involved in, and many of the campaigns it was not that were still covered by Life photographers - such as the Russian front in WW1 & WW2

- NYPL Digital Gallery
The New York Public Library has been putting its collection of images online. Eventually, there will be some 500,000 images including the 20,000 images in the Vinkhuijzen Collection of Military Costume.

- Croatian Military Art
Velimir Vuksic's website with some excellent illustrations from Ancients to Moderns. Especially good for Croatians of course, and lots of other troop types illustrated as well.
- Imperial War Museum
Detailed information for over 160,000 items, with images of over 3,000 highlights from the collection, including photographs, works of art, aircraft, vehicles and soundbites from the Sound Archive. The IMW focuses on Britain and the Commonwealth in the 20th Century.
- International Journal of Naval History
IJNH publishes scholarly historical analysis, focused on any period or geographic region, that explores naval power in its national or cultural context.
- The Nafziger Collection of Orders of Battle
The Nafziger Collection contains a compilation of orders of battle from 1600 to 1945. It began with the author's interest in Napoleonic Wars, and steadily grew to other areas because of the gaming public's interest in these highly detailed historical orders of battle. Sources range from published works to actual archival documents, which represent the largest single source. Nearly all orders of battle break down to the regimental level. The availability of strength figures and artillery equipment varies from period to period.

- War Times Journal
All sorts of interesting articles, archives and pictures about the Napoleonic wars, American Civil War, Pre-dreadnought naval, Great War and Second World War.
